Why Giles sacked Kevin

Giles* is a rich man.  He has just been included in the Sunday Times Rich List for the first time.

Giles and Kevin both want to get as much money as they can.  And they both want to have more money than each other, because money is power.

Giles realised that he had put himself at risk by giving Kevin a job in management.  More people have heard of Kevin, and Giles does not have a pop-star for a wife.

Kevin thought that he could get to Giles by using Peter*.

Giles sacked Peter and Kevin and consolidated his power.

Kevin returned to the ranks and vowed to devote his energies to destroying Giles.
