Whilst all England basks in the glow of an Ashes win, we may have overlooked the fact that there is some cricket going on between Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
Bored of the Ashes already? There are some other things going on in the cricket world you know. Here is a summary.
A new blog I have picked up on recently is Danny Pugsley. His latest entry highlights some interesting stats from the World T20 so far. Whilst we are all eulogising about the big-hitting powers of a Sehwag, de Villiers or McCullum, it is the bowlers who are having the greatest influence on the tournament so far.
In case you had forgotten, apparantly there is a Twenty20 tournament about to take place. What’s that? You have been pre-occupied with the Ashes? Shame on you!World
It is high time that something is done to level the playing field between bat and ball. Runs scored each year are increasing, and making average batsmen look good, good batsmen great
Ultimately, Cricket is of secondary importance compared to the lives that have been lost and the trauma suffered by those involved.
