A new match fixing row is the last thing that cricket needs. Especially when the allegations made are so patently ridiculous as to not merit the attention they are being given.
Bored of the Ashes already? There are some other things going on in the cricket world you know. Here is a summary.
Of all the reaction to South Africa’s surprise defeat to Pakistan in the semi-final of the World T20, by far my favourite and the most concise is this from The Reverse Swing Manifesto.
So after all the panic, England are through to the Super 8, and it is Pakistan who must sweat. How competitive England will be against the best teams remains to be seen.
So, England have set Pakistan 186 to win. A better performance this time, although still the suspicion that it could have been more at the half-way point of the innings.
In case you had forgotten, apparantly there is a Twenty20 tournament about to take place. What’s that? You have been pre-occupied with the Ashes? Shame on you!World
