Sussex pose problems for Australians
Australia chalked up 349-7 at Hove today, but had their lower order to thank for it as the top order did not perform. Good.
We prefer to see the Australian bowlers having to have a good old bat rather than bowling themselves into form. And Ricky Ponting only made 8, which was because he is still depressed after so long spent in Leicester.
Evidently Pepler Sandri, who took 3 top order wickets, has been failing to take wickets playing for Hastings in the Sussex Premier League.

Whilst early doors in the tour, the top six today looked like the probable starting top six for the first test in my book (1-Hughes, 2-Katich, 3-Ponting, 4-Hussey, 5-Clarke, 6-North) and none have managed over fifty after the Oz won the toss. Long may this ineptitude continue.

England have to be worried that the tailenders are able to make runs. That is what did in South Africa.
