Stop moaning about Cardiff!

Why all the fuss about the pitch preparation at Cardiff?  Two points were docked from Glamorgan because the pitch turned a lot.

This is actually a good thing.

Australia have a big weakness with spin, both batting and bowling.

The wickets at the venue for the 1st test are spinning.  A lot.

Does anyone else see a cunning plan in action here?  Expect England to make use of spin bowling as much as possible this summer, even *gasp* playing two spinners.

Instead, people are spluttering about what a disgrace it all is.  Can you imagine the Australians getting upset because the Ashes wicket at Perth was quick and bouncy.

We predicted this behaviour in step 3 of our series How to win the Ashes and advised that it is to be ignored.

So here’s a message to all those splutterers:

STOP YOUR MOANING!  WE ARE NOT INTERESTED.
