		<description>Rob, interesting point.  Perhaps we are not helped by still tending to pick much the same side as in tests, with only one or two different players.  Should the selectors be looking at this for the future?  Certainly it couldn&#039;t do any harm.  On the other hand, players (especially bowlers) who do come in, such as Mascerenhas, often look out of their depth.  It just highlights the step up from domestic to international level - far too high, and has been for years.</description>

		<description>England seem to be able to go for three or four matches in a go looking quite competent, even good (like last summer agains the SAs). Then they go for three or four matches without doing anything right. I think the simple answer is that they are not good enough -- how many England ODI players would get into the WI side? Flintoff and Pietersen -- any more?  The good stretches England have are the players outperforming themselves, the rest, like yesterday, sadly, is normality.</description>
