  3. is Australian
  4. can supply inside info about Australian players from his time within their setup
  5. is Australian

But before we get all gooey and carried away at this coup, let us remember that:

  1. my mother could have coached that Australian team
  2. most of the players he is familiar with are retired
  3. he made a pig’s ear of the IPL with Kolkata
  4. he made a pig’s ear of county cricket with Middlesex
